SCAN has one (1) YPU Prevention Program. The Futuros Brillantes Program is located in Val Verde county. This program promotes a proactive process to address health and wellness for individuals and communities by enhancing proactive factors that increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes for making healthy, drug-free choices.
Prevention Education
To increase protective factors, enhance resiliency, and decrease risk factors.
Information Dissemination
To provide awareness and knowledge of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, abuse, and addiction.
To encourage bonding with peers, family, and community to help prevent drug use.
To create awareness of and prevent or reduce opioid misuse in the community.
