SCAN has two (2) YPI Prevention Programs. The Futuros Positivos Program is located in Webb county and the Futuros Sin Barreras Program is located in Starr county These programs are designed to interrupt the onset or progression of substance use or problem behaviors associated with substance use with specialized prevention services.
Prevention Education
To increase protective factors, enhance resiliency, and decrease risk factors.
Positive Activities
To encourage bonding with peers, family, and community to help prevent drug use.
To provide awareness and knowledge of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, abuse, and addiction.
To ensure that participants are provided with information and resources to access support services.
