The LDPA seeks to reduce the onset and progression of substance use and misuse among youth and adults with a primary focus on underage drinking, underage vaping, and marijuana use. It also focuses on preventing underage tobacco cigarette use and opioid overdoses in Laredo, Webb County, Texas.
To increase awareness of the harms associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) use.
To increase protective factors, enhance resiliency, and decrease risk factors for ATOD use.
To ensure that participants are provided with access to information and resources in the community to meet their comprehensive needs.
