Outpatient treatment for teens 13 to 17 years of age are available in Webb, Zapata, Starr, Cameron and Hidalgo counties. Outpatient care focuses on meeting the specific needs of adolescents. Since youth are still growing, they need treatment services that they can address their cognitive, emotional and social needs. Besides focusing on the use of alcohol and drugs, counseling also addresses emotions that can be connected to the use of these substances and strives to help youth manage these emotions.
